GLE provided engineering services for the Origins CO₂ pipeline and associated facilities connecting existing transportation infrastructure to Enhance Energy's new Origins CO₂ sequestration hub.

"This is an important milestone for both CCS in Alberta and GLE, and we are proud to see Enhance's Origins project move into construction," said Stuart MacKenzie, President and CEO of Gas Liquids Engineering. "GLE has been involved in the development of carbon capture, transportation and sequestration infrastructure in Alberta for many years, and their project represents another significant step in the growth of that industry. We are pleased to continue our work with Enhance Energy on infrastructure that builds on Alberta's existing carbon capture network."

GLE's engineering incorporated pipeline hydraulics, process and mechanical design, civil and structural engineering, electrical and instrumentation systems, controls and telecommunications, pipeline integrity, safety systems and construction requirements.

Construction of Origins is now underway, with the project expected to enter service in early 2027.
